I turned up at the Infirmary on 9.30pm on a Wednesday night (22/8/18) with my 10 year old son Michael, who needed antibiotics. I was on holiday & a stranger to the area. The porter came to retrieve us as we had gone to the wrong entrance, we booked in, was seen & was on our way with said antibiotics in about 15 minutes. The porter, receptionist & nurse were absolutely lovely with us and it was a very positive experience at a time when I was feeling more than a little stressed! What a very lucky community to have such facilities and staff on hand. Thank you.
Completely Useless, I was down this area on holiday, during our stay I got really bad ear ache. After speaking to the local chemist they say to come too the hospital because of the pain. Said hospital look at my ears and tell me it was just a build up of wax go buy some ear drops3 days later now back home in Scotland, Im was still in immense pain and by this point almost deaf, I phone my local gp for an emergency appointment. Arrive, they check my ears out and tell me I have a savage ear infection because its been left untreated.Cheers guys!
Had my daughter here 3 days ago while we were on a family break at the holiday park. I knew fine well she had a chest infection as you could hear rattling, high temp and coughing up green phleghm, however the doctor sent us away with an inhaler. This has lead to her being extremely unwell and needing an emergency appointment at our own local hospital.

On holiday at haggerston castle and my 6 week old baby had an allergic reaction. Went straight to Berwick Infirmary as it was the closest hospital. Lady on reception desk was lovely and got all our details up. I literally just sat down in waiting room when nurse called us in. She done all the usual checks and got the doctor to come and see us. They were both so lovely and helpful and my baby was better within a day. Absoloutley brilliant service with friendly staff. So thankful to all of them.
