Favourite stop on way to Newcastle. Great food and coffee. Good prices. Don't really use the garden centre. Car park a bit slopey.
A good place for gifts etc as well as some local produce on sale. The cafe is ok but can be really busy with coach visits. However, It's worth stopping by if passing on the A1. When I visited before Christmas plant selection was limited but it's normally good for seasonal bedding plants and has a decent selection of shrubs and herbaceous plants...all fairly priced.
Nice garden centre with good prices on plants and garden supplies. The cafe has good value for money meals and generous portions. Very clean and has nice toilets.Parking is fre here.
Like the majority of garden centres, this one has a diverse range of goods on sale, including foodstuffs, clothing, cards and books. It also has a restaurant which appears popular with the lunchtime trade, offering various main meals, salads, soup and light snacks. Hot and cold drinks are available, as are pastries, cake and scones. Food is of reasonable quality, as are prices.
Visited for Sunday lunch. Lovely food well presented and tasty. Nice wander around indoors after as the weather was atrocious. Nice place to visit with lots if lovely Xmas decorations. Well worth a visit.
