Clean site, staff lovely. I took my 3 year old who loved it, there wasn't many other children when we went out if term, but lots of dog walkers and everyone was very friendly. Would go back certainly
Three stars is possibly a little mean. It's a typical CAMC site: well maintained with excellent facilities. However, a number of pitches are on challenging terrain. You need to be properly geared up to deal with that. And the pitches at the rear of the site back on to the very busy east coast railway line - obviously quite noisy.On the positive side, the view from the front of the site is great (see image) and we saw dolphins just off the coast.
Lovely site well laid out with some good views of the sea and harbour, the wardens are really nice and helpful and do a good job of presenting a nice site, bus stop just outside the gate, Spittal is within a 2 minute walk, the harbour/beach area is great for dog walking. Berwick is over the other side of the river but can be easily reached on foot via the various short cut footpaths etc. Berwick-upon-Tweed is a lovely town with plenty to see and do and to occupy yourself, I definitely recommend this site.
Excellent well kept site within 30 minutes walk of Berwick. Also a good bus service into town. Very interesting town - loads to see and good rail links to Newcastle and Edinburgh.
Nice little place to use as a Base if your visiting the area. You can park up in a caravan or motor home. I am not sure about tents as we didn't see any. Electric hook up points but no gas so bring a bottle or a camping stove. Situated not far from the beach with some shops and supermarkets close by for those last minute items you always forget to bring..........
