Stopped here after crossing back from Holy Island. Good food choices and a bar, camp site too. Stunning views over Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Isles.
Had lunch 2 days running this January 2019. The first day we just had small plates and were delighted. Service personnel couldve been a bit more enthusiastic, but hey mid January were all a bit cranky. Anyway we were so happy with the food we returned the next day for lunch. I had a salmon linguini featured lunch that was grey in color and about that tasty when paired with the service....well if I was just going for a latte I might return otherwise they have some work to do.
Lovely food. Very clean and well cared for. Lovely staff and warm and friendly atmosphere.
Had a quick lunch yesterday. A bowl of tomato and onion soup and wholemeal bread and I must honestly say, it's the best bowl of soup I've ever had in my life. Delicious!
Fantastic views from the outside terrace. The Border Tart is unique and mouth-watering. Excellent facilities especially for small children. Please replace the farmyard photo on your website which doesnt do you any favours. A must do pit stop between Newcastle and Edinburgh.Steve Owen
