A lovely place and basecamp. After arriving at 2 different places, as per postcodes and sat nav, we finally found the site using Google maps on our phone. Weather was dingy on our arrival, and no welcoming party. Couldn't find a reception, and was told to just pitch anywhere. After pitching the tent, we set out to find the amenities, which turned out to be a small building with one all in toilet, wash basin and shower, one for the gents and one for the ladies, with a small laundrette inbetween. The potwash area was round the back and not covered, so, if it rained, you got as wet as your pots. A big frustration when you need the loo, and there's someone using the shower. Definitely needs more loo's and separate shower /wash areas. Other than that, a lovely scenic place, and well away from noisy traffic.

Spent 3 nights at this site. Had a warm welcome from the owner and had a nice pitch with a good view of the hills. But unfortunately the facilities were not as expected. Only one toilet / shower for ladies and gents meant there were queues morning and night.There was nothing in the village in the way of shops or pubs etc meant a drive for everything. I think that it was over priced for what the site is offering and the website is very misleading .
Great site and very good condition handy for A1 but not too close
Nice clean site, very quiet in a rural area. Only downside was one shower and a toilet per sex, although the owner said another shower and toilet is available just off site, would recommend highly though
